As part of BEST Move on August 24th, your pals at VCBN (Our Community Bikes, Kickstand, and the Bike Kitchen) want to celebrate community with a bit of cheeky fun by putting on a bike pageant!

Schedule:
Check-in/registration time: 2pm-3pm.
Public viewing and voting: 3.00-3.30pm
Best in Show Category: 3.30pm-4pm *Judged category, must register in advance*
Winners announced: 4.30pm

CATEGORIES
SMALL WHEELS (anything 20" wheel size and below)
SINGLE SPEED (just one)
PARTS BIN (most of the bike made from used parts)
VINTAGE (pre-2000s)
TANDEM (for two)
CARGO/UTILITY (what are you hauling?)
WEIRD (we needed a catch-all category)
BEST STORY-BIKE (write out the story about you and your bike, must submit in advance)*Â
BEST IN SHOW (aka best human-bike pair, must register in advance)*
Best in Show and Story-Bike require registration in advance. The other categories you can register day-of upon check-in (though we've made an RSVP form in case you want a reminder!)
Categories 1-8 are peoples' choice, everyone who wants to can vote on their winner for each category.
Best in Show is the only judged category, where a panel of judges will decide on the winner. Be ready for witty commentary and absurd criteria!
We'll send you a reminder, you decide to which categories 1-8 to join on the day-of
Best Story-Bike involves writing max 500 words about your bike or an adventure/experience related to your bike. We will print these out and they will be shared during the pageant.
Best in Show is not for the weak of heart. Are we judging the bike, or the bike's operator? Will the judges know anything about bicycles or will they just be there to provide entertainment?
